Earth Retention

Max Corp and our staff have successfully completed a variety of earth retention projects throughout the Western United States, Alaska and Hawaii. The earth retention projects have included a full array of design build and plans and specifications projects including cantilevered soldier pile walls, soldier pile and tie-back walls, high capacity anchored caisson walls, rock bolting and anchoring, anchored slope stabilization and soil nailed walls. Projects have ranged in size from a few hundred square feet on up to over 80,000 SF.

Mercer Island Residence

Description: Max Corp worked closely with Versatile Drilling to construct a permanent soldier pile and tieback retaining wall for a private residence on Mercer Island. While the project was small in nature, it exhibited several logistical challenges with very difficult access into the site and a pristine neighborhood where, noise, traffic, and site cleanliness were a primary concern.

Lake Washington Residence

Description: Max Corp worked closely with Versatile Drilling to construct a permanent soldier pile and tieback retaining wall/catchment wall for a private residence on Lake Washington. This project posed difficulties in access in that the only access to the property was via barge. The soils for the site were loosely consolidated sands and silts and layers of heaving sand were encountered during the construction of the tieback anchors. All anchors were ultimately tested and locked off at full capacity.
